  • Harvest from the soy fields. Continuation of the work with the plant nurseries in the five villages.
  • Measuring trees in the existing rainforest to determine the potential for carbon sequestration.
  • Initial meetings were held with three additional villages in the Luabu sector: Inkwi, Masamba, and Mbantale. These villages will be included in future activities involving plant nurseries and agroforestry. Seeds for various nutritious crops will be provided to them in September.
  • United Eco Solutions continues with preparing the tractor and trailer to be sent to the city of Tolo. They will be used to help the villages with transportation according to SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure.
  • Meetings were held with the hospital in Duma 2 to explore how United Eco Solutions can support healthcare institutions across the five villages in addressing challenges related to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
  • United Eco Solutions is collaborating with local authorities and the aviation company MAF to restore the long-defunct airstrip, which hasn’t been operational for 20 years. A functioning airstrip will allow for the rapid evacuation of individuals with urgent healthcare needs, therefore significantly improving access to critical medical support.
