  • Transportation and distribution of school material for the schools in the five villages. A formal ceremony was performed together with the schools and the local authorities with handing over the material officially. 135 cartons of school material were transported from Kinshasa to the five villages in the project and UES payed for this transport. Without the support of UES the school material wouldn’t have arrived. The material is given free from the state, the problem is that the school lacks funds to transport the material to their schools.  
    This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 4. 
  • Continuation of the work with the plant nurseries in the five villages and payment to the population for taking care of the plants. This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 1, 8 and 13. 
  • In accordance to the collaboration between UES and the local health care facilities, such as the hospital of Duma, UES helped the hospital of Duma to get vital medicines as well as a microscope which they lack today. These medicines and the microscope is vital for improving the health care in the villages included in the project area and will also help tens of thousands of people in other villages in the proximity of the hospital of Duma, outside of the project area, to increase the health care. The material was bought up and transported to the project area in March and will be arriving in Duma the first week of April. This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 3. 
  • In accordance to the collaboration between UES and the local health care facilities, such as the hospital of Duma, UES helps support work in the hospital of Duma to fight malnutrition with supporting the local nutritionists with material and salary that they lack today. This support is vital for improving the health care and fighting malnutrition in the villages included in the project area and will also many people in other villages in the proximity of the hospital of Duma, outside of the project area, to increase the health care and fight Malnutrition. The material was bought up and transported to the project area in March and will be arriving in Duma the first week of April. This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 2. 
  • In accordance to the collaboration between UES and the five local villages included in the project, UES has helped the villages to create local development committees according to Congolese law, (CLDs and CFCLs). The committees are democratic elected structures that enable the villages to work for the development of their villages. UES also offer capacity building and education on how to execute the work and collaboration in the villages in a democratic and practical manner. UES also helps out and assists at the meetings, if the committees wishes it, see meetings performed in Duma 1 and Duma 2 during the 30th of March for the meeting of a CFCL-committee for the 2 villages.  This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 16. 
  • In accordance to the project developped by UES and the five local villages included in the project, Energy has been included as an SDG, number 7.  
    Solar lamps will therefore be included in the activities. UES will make this available for the families involved in taking care of the trees according to the plan of the project. A study was preformed in March on suitable lamps that would work well for the objective of the project. These lamps will be bought and transported to the villages in the month of April. This is performed in accordance to the part of the project covering SDG 7.
