In early September, United Eco Solutions visited Stockholm for important meetings with Sida and the Unit for Development Banks, Sustainability, and Climate at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The aim was to exchange knowledge and experiences to support continued development.
– On Thursday, United Eco Solutions held meetings with Sida to discuss their strategic work in West Africa. The meeting provided many interesting insights and opportunities for mutual learning. A new strategy for Sida’s efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be developed next year and will take effect in 2026.
– On Friday, United Eco Solutions attended a seminar where the upgraded roadmap for the recycling industries was presented by the Minister for Climate and Environment. Among other topics, important connections between climate and circularity were discussed.
– On Friday afternoon, we also had a productive meeting with Leif Holmberg, Counselor at the Unit for Development Banks, Sustainability, and Climate, Ministry for Foreign Affairs. It was an interesting discussion on the challenges and opportunities of working with climate and sustainability in developing countries. Topics included the importance of strategic partnerships and the roles of various stakeholders.
Overall, it was two days of interesting meetings that provided new insights and motivation to continue our important work in replanting rainforests and improving the living conditions for the local population in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
