Our Transparency Tools
We use drones and GPS to track each tree as part of our transparency efforts.
Partnering with Drönarstation.se, we will conduct aerial surveys to provide GPS coordinates for every planted tree, starting in early 2025. Our work is also aligned with the Core Carbon Principles, ensuring we meet the highest standards of transparency and accountability in carbon reduction projects. Stay tuned for more updates!
How we calculate carbon sequestration and value
Using data from the Democratic Republic of Congo, we measure tree height and diameter to estimate carbon sequestration. We apply scientifically proven methods, species-specific data, and seven equations to calculate total biomass. To ensure accuracy, we follow the Gold Standard methodology and choose the lowest value to avoid overestimating CO2 sequestration. We also reduce the total by 20% to account for risks.
*The price covers 10 years of carbon sequestration, though your tree will continue to absorb CO2 throughout its lifetime.
Thank you for supporting a sustainable future!
